Is the American world order (ordo seclorum) worth preserving?

For all its failures, its fallacies, its apparent and irritating inconsistency, it is still the unprecedented era where a significant share of world's population enjoy social benefits, access to material goods, peace and freedom of speech.

Darwin's evolution theory does not seem convincing in the international relations arena. We have not reached this level of development simply because it was the 'natural', evolutionary one-way to go. Nor were the technological innovations a 'natural' result of time.

What would the world have been for Christians if the atheist Soviet regime had prevailed? What would the world have been for black people. for Jews, if Hitler had prevailed? What will the world be for free thinkers, philosophers, if an autocratic novus ordo seclorum emerges?

I take an example from Greece. The journalists' deontology panel, where members of the radical left opposition part Syriza are the majority, condemned a colleague of theirs, a journalist (!), because his ideas and articles allegedly promoted neoliberal policies that could diminish labor rights. No further comments are required. free speech condemned by journalists.
